Brummitt Bliss!

A few weeks ago we flew home for the Sequite/Brummitt wedding extravaganza! And what a lovely, fun-filled, exciting weekend it was!
Paul and I were able to squeeze in a little family time the day we flew in, Thursday. We enjoyed a nice dinner with my folks, Jenn, Chad & the nephews, and my brother at On the Border. After a few rounds of Dos XX's and margaritas we called it a night and Paul and I started our weekend at the Omo's, (to be closer to the wedding festivities in Kalamazoo.)
Paul and the boys headed off early for golf the next morning and I was up EVEN EARLIER to join my sister at 5:30am boot camp (whoa!) Only a week after the marathon she had me back at the gym getting my butt kicked -- leave it to jenn! Then after some BC recovery and much needed coffee we started our girls day! We had our nails done, went shopping, had lunch at a yummy greek place that the kids would never go to, and went to the movies! It wasn't long and I had to rush home to shower-up for the rehearsal dinner!
Paul and I met everyone at Kanley's Chapel at WMU's campus for the Brummitt's rehearsal where we met up with the whole crew -- SO GREAT to see everyone! We were able to catch up and show everyone pics of our new house :-) Everyone was so excited for us! Rehearsal dinner was at this lovely little Italian place downtown Kalamazoo where we started the celebrating...the celebrating continued at Burdicks @ the Radisson, then at Jen's dads Suite, then back at Burdicks, then... let's just say we really celebrated!!! During our time at burdicks I was able to catch up with some of my dear friends that live in town, Rachel and Becca! It has been so long since we've been able to see each other -- it was wonderful to chit chat and remember old times together. Miss you guys so much!
The next day Paul was off to brunch and pictures as he was the Best Man ;-) But I was able to be a nice aunt and go see Connor and Colin's soccer games. They are soooo stickin cute! Connor scored 2 goals in his game and Colin played goalie! The only downside...it was soooo cold for aunt julie to stand outside and watch! I had to make a few trips to the car to warm up! I was wearing Connor's sweatshirt and fleece (good thing he's a big 10-year-old!)
4pm rolled around and jenn, chad and I got dolled up and headed to WMU for the wedding! Everything was stunning! The wedding party was beautiful (even my paulie!) But it wasn't till Jen walked down the aisle did the whole place light up -- she was GORGEOUS!!! The ceremony was sweet, and meaningful and only a few tears were shed ;-) Once they were announced MR. & MRS. we were off to the party bus for a little fun before the reception!
Once we arrived I was blown away by the banquet room -- just lovely! Everything was just PERFECT! Cocktail hour was going on and you could grab ANY drink you could think up -- Paul had a little too much fun with that, as you can imagine! BUT, not until his speech was over did he dive into the goose on the rocks... btw, his speech was very good and he did a fantastic job! After a yummy dinner we danced the night away, and away, and away... and sadly I do remember our late night stop at Big Burrito (yuck!) before heading back to Omo's ;-)
The next day we flew out of Grand Rapids so we were able to have a quick bite to eat with both sets of parents before heading back to Dallas. This time we left without another time scheduled to come back… although, it feels good to FINALLY be settling into our life here, at our home.

a few pictures from the weekend!
