Troy & Calee's Wedding | Winter Park, Co

December 13 we ventured off to COLD (brrr!) Colorado to attend Troy & Calee's wedding in Winter Park. Although it was chilly, the scenery was GORGEOUS!
The day we arrived we went snowshoeing up a mountain near the Young Life camp Troy worked at last summer. Leahey led the way as we all climbed up to the top! It was a clear day and we got some great pics! That night we hit up a locals bar, "the pub" and found ourselves among some true mountain men! We all decided Troy was right where he's supposed to be!
The wedding day arrived and since we had some time to explore we found ourselves intrigued by this GIANT tubbing hill. Plus, it had a rope toe to pull us back up - yay!. Much less work than the snow shoeing - score! After plenty of trips down the icy hill we decided it was time to get to the lodge for the wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony and both Troy and Calee looked SOOOO happy! After dinner we danced till we were exhasuted and called it a night-- back at the condo we went.
It was so nice to see everyone and celebrate with Troy and Calee!

Perez Wedding

Last weekend we attended Jessica & Allen's wedding downtown Dallas. What a lovely evening of nuptials, food, cocktails, and friends. Congrats to the bride and groom! We were so happy to be part of your special day!

Bacheloretting!

Jessica's bachelorette!

No single gals life would be complete without a little pampering and partying before wedding bells ring...and that's exactly what we did! First stop, Hawaiian nails, next Houstons!

Turkey Time

Where did November go? I can't believe we just had Thanksgiving?!

Paul and I stayed in the "BIG D" for Turkey day this year -- it made for a very relaxing weekend not having to travel! We enjoyed the traditional meal with Paul's good friend Derek and his family and we kicked off the day running the Dallas Turkey Trot with 37,000 other people! What an event! People dressed up as turkeys, Indians and pilgrims to run the 5k -- crazy! Good people watching!

We also spent a day up at a friends lake house and Paul went to the Baylor vs. Texas Tech game over the weekend. I also squeezed in a little shopping and checked out the TWILIGHT movie to see what the hype is all about! (Verdict is still out?) I heard I need to read the book -- but all I read these days is fitness magazines!

Jessica & Allens Shower

After the crazy week of the Neath the Wreath things didn't slow down for us... we had a surprise birthday for our friend Beth Friday night, a cocktail party downtown, another bday party for Paul's buddy and Jessica and Allens shower! (too many late nights for jules!)

Jessica and Allen are getting married this weekend, December 5th. They're some of our dear friends here in Texas -- what a great couple! Congrats!

Junior League's Neath the Wearth

Last week was CRAZY!!! When I got home from Michigan I dove right into working the Junior League's Neath the Wreath holiday market. It is a wonderful market with ornaments, crafts, knick knacks, etc. We kicked it off Thursday night with a "Ladies Night Out" event with cocktails, food, a silent auction, ect. 850 women signed up and came out for it!!!!
Great job to all the wonderful girlies on my committee-- y'all are fabulous!

Rosowski Wedding in Detroit

Two weeks ago my dear friend Kate got married! It was a lovely day in Michigan (almost 70 degrees in November!!!) and she was absolutely stunning! It is a wonderful feeling to see your good friends so happy - and she truly was!
Best of luck Kate and Gary! Love you guys!

Hiatus...

So...I've been on a six month BLOGGING hiatus! Blame it on my recent introduction to facebook and lack of computer time. However, being home last weekend made me realize how important it is to "try" and stay connected with friends and family...even if it's done digitally!

So, where do I begin...where did I leave off?

Well, there were summer nights ... days were usually spent by the pool!

Milo's birthday....Megan & Clay McCausland's Wedding in St. Joseph (simply lovely!)

Paul's 28th birthday...Halloween parties and pimp your pumpkin party at Brackens! What a nice MarilynMonroe and Joe DiMaggio, huh?

A few races - 5K Freedom Run and the DRC Half Marathon. This was Paul's first half - he did awesome - 2:11:38, I broke 2hrs again at 1:56:50 :-)

And much, much more! I'll try to keep things a little more updated for y'all! :-)

Dave and Kenz tie the knot!

Last weekend Paul and I were Michigan to celebrate Dave and MacKenzie's wedding. It was LOVELY (despite the Monsoon the night before, yikes!) And they both looked so happy! I love weddings!
Also, during our time in Michigan we were able to visit with family and some of our dearest friends. It was a whirlwind trip -- but so wonderful to see everyone back home.

love "y'all" and Congrats Dave and Kenz!

Bacheloretting!

Two weeks ago I went jet set to L.A. to celebrate my good friend megan's final days of singlehood "California Style"
Megan now calls Pasadena home so we were able to see her new surroundings and her adorable new place!
We spent the weekend being girls - lunching, getting mani's, visiting Hollywood and of course enjoying a night on the town!
Now, it's time to get ready for the big day!

Megan and her maids!

All of us in front of the Chinese Theater

Megan and I at the Beach after enjoying sushi...very L.A. of us!

Good ole fashion texas bbq -- poolside!

Sunday rolled around and we were ready for sunshine and relaxation ... so after a run at Katy Trail, we invited ourselves over to Mitch's! We enjoyed music by Dru, burgers by Paul and Guacamole by Jessica.... Is it the weekend yet?

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!

This weekend was Plano's Race for the Cure! I had been helping coordinate a Junior League team to participate -- there we are below in our cute green shirts! :-) We all had so much fun running, walking, gossiping and then eating a yummy breakfast at LaMadelines after!
