Running

I have started training for the White Rock half marathon (that is quickly coming up in a few weeks!!!! AGH!!!) But what is newsworthy about this post is that I've got Paul running too! He is doing a few miles on Sunday's -- which is a huge deal! First, he hates running and his only physical activity up until this point has been basketball a few days a week. So, with ipod in ears and shoes on feet we're off running each weekend! Wish us luck!

Paul is up to 4-5 mi and I'm at 6-7mi.

Jury Duty

So, Tuesday I served my civic duty! Luckily I wasn't chosen.. But what a pain in the a**!!!! I had to cancel all my clients that day, drive all the way to McKinney (45mins away) and sit all morning while they decided if they needed me! AGH!

When the gal said we were "released" it felt like my birthday and Christmas all rolled into one! whoo hoo!

24 months till I'm back in the jury pool again...

Happy Heart Day!

Happy Valentines Day y'all! I hope everyone was able to share the day with someone (or people!) that they loved! I know I did :-)
Paul took me out for a lovely dinner at Cantina Laredo where we sipped flavored margaritas and chatted over yummy sea bass and steak. I even had dessert --its a holiday, right? As Paul and I were talking we realized that this was our ***8th*** Valentines day together! Crazy how time flies!

When I got home from the gym Saturday Paul had surprised me with these beautiful roses! I am loved!

Lets not forget about the other love in my life, Milo!

Hello!

We're back!

Well, let's just say its been a busy January/February! Where do I begin... We kicked off the New Year at the Stars Hockey game with some friends and proceeded to party with thousands of other people in Victory Park watching "the ball" dropped as Dallas imitated Times Square ;-) It was a chilly 55 degrees, but I'm convinced it was not as bad as NYC!

Right after the champagne was drank I was back at the gym training my new clients! Whoo hoo! Yes, the new year resolutions were good for business. But it made for a crazy, and I do mean CRAZY! January. I have been working 7 days a week with the most sporadic schedule... I have been driving all over the place, up early, sleeping during the day to catch up, making friends with coffee and somehow finding time to workout myself, (kinda...) No one warned me about this! But on the flip side of the scheduling madness I am loving what I am doing and have met some amazing people thus far. Since February has hit I have been able to manage my schedule a little better and have gotten use to the 5:30ams ... so things are looking up! Not to mention my clients are reaching their goals and doing fabulously -- it's an amazing feeling!

In another world, Paul has been working quite a bit as well -- still enjoying it. The guys in his firm are a blast and they have a lot of fun together... They get some work done too -- they have settled some cases and it's been a good start to the year! He's in Houston right now so it's just me and Milo holding down the fort!

Little Milo has of course been getting into mischief as always! He keeps us laughing -- even on long hard days, and even when he's a little sh*t sometimes :-) He's just so darn cute!

In addition to training I've been keeping busy getting ready for Plano's Junior Leagues Spring Project -- Trinkets to Treasures. It's the 1st year girls project which is basically an organized giant garage sale! I'm honestly a little overwhelmed with all there is to do -- but I know its for a good cause and "we're all in it together" so I know I'll get through!

Oh, and I have to share about my weekend real quick : my good friend Faryn and I went to this AFAA conference in Fort Worth and while we were there she took me to this CASH ONLY TEX MEX place called Joe T. Garcia's -- it was out in the middle of nowhere, seriously. But it was a beautiful outdoor restaurant -- looked like "old mexico"... However, I have never seen SOOO many cowboys in all my life! I guess that's what you get in FORT WORTH! Let's just say it was good people watching. Definitely not in Dallas! Or, Michigan!
