Good ole fashion texas bbq -- poolside!

Sunday rolled around and we were ready for sunshine and relaxation ... so after a run at Katy Trail, we invited ourselves over to Mitch's! We enjoyed music by Dru, burgers by Paul and Guacamole by Jessica.... Is it the weekend yet?

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!

This weekend was Plano's Race for the Cure! I had been helping coordinate a Junior League team to participate -- there we are below in our cute green shirts! :-) We all had so much fun running, walking, gossiping and then eating a yummy breakfast at LaMadelines after!

San Antonio

This past weekend Paul had a conference in San Antonio -- so, I tagged along for a little vacay! The weather was lovely and we got a glimpse of "hill country" and the Riverwalk. Not to mention som yummy Tex Mex!

What a view!

Poolside at the Westin La Cantera ;-)

Simon's Visit

A few weeks ago, Paul's folks came down from the cold, wet Michigan weather looking for some sunshine. Unfortunately, during their visit Texas delivered them some MORE cold, damp Texas weather! Yuck!

However, I think they still enjoyed their visit seeing us (and Milo). They went sight-seeing during the day and did the touristy stuff while we were at work - Dallas Zoo, King Tut exhibit, ect. However, in the evenings we were able to spend time together - went to a few nice dinners, movies, and made it out to the Rangers Ballpark for a chilly game!

I hope Dallas gives us some Sunshine for our next visitors! Who's next?

Milo might be the cutest dog ever?

Paul and I took his folks (like we do everyone!) to our favorite Restaurant, Uncle Julio's

Bundle up - it's cold outside! Here we are at the Rangers Game ;-)

White Rock 5Mile

A few weeks ago Paul and I ran the White Rock 5 Mile "Rock n Roll" race with some running friends. It was a little rainy -- but made for perfect running weather! Who doesn't like a little sprinkle of rain water in the face when coming into the finish?

Paul, (being as competitive as he is...) ran the entire way at my side not letting me pull away to beat him. Although, I was in better cardiovascular shape -- he kept running and pushing through ... cussing and grunting of course -- but he did it! Way to go Paul!

We finished in 42mins and I was 9th in my age group and Paul (sandbagger!) came in 13th for his age group. Not a bad little Saturday!

Here are a few pics ;-)

Easter Weekend

Hard to believe we just spent our 2nd Easter here in Dallas! Time sure does fly!

It was a rough Easter weekend with me developing strep -- so I spent the majority of the time on the couch watching movies (and baseball, thanks to Paul ;-) )

But I did muster up the energy on Sunday to make it to our Easter Brunch at Stephen and Susan's -- Stephen is one of Paul's law buddies and they were having people over who were also "Texas transplants" that didn't have family in town. It was fun to exchange stories about how crazy the Texans are and hear about their experiences in Dallas.

Most importantly, Milo got his Easter basket -- he was due for a few new toys so he was thrilled!
